The Gift Game/Sketch N Scrap Sketch Reveal

Hello friends! Today is a sad day for me.  This is my last layout a member of Sketch N Scrap's design team.   I have enjoyed my time with Sketch N Scrap.  I have decided to persue a new career which means going back to school.  I decided to step down from the design team because I felt like I could not give it my full attention.  I wish Sketch N Scrap my best.  If you haven't played with Sketch N Scrap before I highly recommend it! Here is the sketch and my layout:

Last year at my son's class Christmas party, his teacher had a game for the kids to play.  She had a gift (which was a five dollar bill in a envelope) that was wrapped in paper, duck tape, cardboard, masking tape, etc.  There was probably 10 to 15 layers on the gift.  Each child had two minutes with the gift trying to unwrap it, but they had to wear gloves! It was funny! The kids loved it!
The supplies I used on this layout are Bo Bunny, Bella Blvd., and other supplies from my stash.
Thanks for stoppiing by!

Alone Time/Challenge YOUrself

Hello! I have a layout that I want to share with you. I did this layout for Challenge YOUrself challenge blog.  Here is the challenge and my layout:

Here is a closer look:

I have to admit, this one was hard for me.  I went through all my paper but I could not find paper that I liked for this layout.  So I decided to make my own background.  Looking at the challenge picture, it looked like the picture was divided with blues and orange.  It also looked like watercolors.  I treated the paper with gesso and after it dried I used water colors.  I stamped the flowers and used dylusions ink spray to paint them.  Supplies I used are Ranger Ink, Strathmore, Basic Grey, and Dear Lizzy.  As for the picture and title, Alone Time is good for the Soul, it really is!! I took a little shopping trip, just me. It was nice!  Thanks for stopping by!

Happy Birthday To You/Picture This! Challenge

Hi everyone! I have a layout that I want to share with you that I did for the second challenge for Picture This! Challenge blog.  The second challenge for this month is "Not So Picture Perfect."  The challenge is to create a layout with a picture that is not perfect; blurry, bad lighting etc.  I always have those not so perfect pictures! The picture I used is from my husband's birthday.  Every year all he ever wants is a birthday cake.  When he got home from work we surprised him with a cake.  He was tired and did not want to "pose" for pictures.  The lighting was horrible and there is a glare on my son's glasses.  Even though the picture is not perfect, I have it documented!

The supplies I used are Lawn Fawn, Crate Paper and Bazzill Basics.  Thanks for stopping by!

New Bow/The Studio Challenges

Hello! I have a layout that I want to share with you that I did for The Studio Challenges  August challenge. Here is the sketch and my layout:

I love this sketch! I changed it just a little bit by turning the center around.  My husband and I had agreeded a couple of months ago that we were going to buy our son a new bow.  I made sure to order some archery scrapbook paper which was perfect for this layout! The supplies I used are Bazzill Basics, American Crafts, and Scrapbook Customs.  Thanks for stopping by!

Hello friends!  I have a layout I want to share with you that I did for the second challenge for the month of August for Scrap Our Stash Challenge.  Here is the challenge and my layout:

I rotated the sketch on its side and used one photograph instead of 3.  From each coloum I used 3 different manufacturers (Bazzill Basics, Jillibean Soup and Recollections), Washi Tape, and an Xyron.  I matted the photo and pop dotted it to give it some depth.  The picture is of my son on Orientation Night at his school where he got to meet his two new teachers for fifth grade.  I still can't believe I have a fifth grader!  Thanks for stopping by!

Check This Out!/Scrap Our Stash Challenge

Hello everyone! I have a layout I want to share with you that I did for Scrap Our Stash Challenge.  Here is the challenge and my layout:

Here is a close ups:

I was inspired by the hand.  It reminded me of a stamp I had from Tim Holtz of a hand pointing like the one in the book cover.  I found it! I stamped the hand on a piece of cardstock and cut it out.  I added a pop dot and placed it on the edge of the paper.  I used an arrow paper clip from Freckled Fawn underneath the title pointing to the picture.
